Hi friend,
I had the privilege of visiting the future nurses of Thomas Edison State University. They are passionate about the profession they are pursuing.
The pursuit of becoming a nurse is stressful and overwhelming. I provided them with tips and tools on how to handle the anxiety and overwhelm. We practiced breath work, affirmations, pausing, and changing our neuro pathways from negative to positive. I hope they use these tools to help them navigate through this stressful and overwhelming season of their lives.
Three takeaways I hope they also take with them….
1. This season in life is temporary. This stress and overwhelm will fade away one day.
2. Tap into your body and listen to what it is telling you and what it needs. Our body speaks to us more clearly than our thoughts.
3. You don’t have to do everything on your own in this season of your life. Know your limits and ASK FOR HELP!
I think we can all benefit from these takeaways whether in nursing school or not.
Until then.
Xo,
Chrissy
